A bond card may be submitted to a ticketing officer to act as a substitute for the bond card holder's license. A bond card can protect a license that is used as a primary means of identification or a license that is used to maintain employment. Bond cards:
  • Cover a single violation up to $105 and multiple violations up to $300
  • Can be used multiple times for no additional charge (until expiration)
  • Cover tickets received because of the "Cell Phone Law" where applicable

You must have a Mexican Auto Insurance policy if you plan on driving any vehicle in Mexico. Without it, you won't be covered if you are involved in an accident or have your car damaged or stolen. You could also be arrested if involved in an accident.
